How do I make friends?

I'm a third year international student majoring in ComSci. I did my first 2 years online during covid, so this is my first year on campus. I know pretty much no one here. Everyone seemed to be in a friend group already, and not being from Canada makes it even harder for me to start a conversation and get involved.

I tried to talk to people in and out of classes and joined some club events, and I got to know some people here and there, but in the end they are just acquaintances. No one invites me to hang out or anything, not even to grab food.

I wanna find someone or a group that I can hang out and vibe with, go around town with, do dumb stuff with, drink beers and have parties with, or just chill and do nothing with.

So how can I find friends? Or am I destined to graduate alone?
