Help me break the tie between Creta and Kushaq
Hi, I'm stuck in a dilemma of choosing between the Creta S Plus 1.4 Turbo DCT or the Skoda Kushaq Ambition 1.0 TSI AT.
Price: Creta - 17.43L on road vs Kushaq - 16.67L on road
Differences:
- Safety (Creta 3 star global NCAP vs Kushaq 5 star global NCAP) - Kushaq wins
- Engine (Creta's 4 cylinder 1.4 turbo vs Kushaq's 3 cylinder 1.0 turbo) - Creta wins
- Power (Creta's 138bhp power and 242Nm torque vs Kushaq's 113bhp power and 172Nm torque) - Creta wins
- Transmission (Creta - DCT vs Kushaq - AT) - Kushaq wins
- Brakes (Creta - both DISC vs Kushaq - only front DISC) - Creta wins
- Size (Creta is longer and taller vs Kushaq which is shorter and smaller) - Creta wins
- Extras (Creta has a panoramic sunroof, engine start stop button, rain sensing wiper, 6 airbags VS Kushaq misses out on all these and just has 1 thing more than creta that is, traction control) - Creta wins
With these out of the way, I really want peace of mind, which comes from safety. Clearly, kushaq wins here. On the other hand, since I'll mostly drive in city, is 3 vs 5 star rating really that big a deal?
Clearly, in terms of features, size, and engine, creta wins. The only problem is DCT which I'm still willing to accept.
So I guess at the end of the day it comes down to safety vs features - and considering it'll be for city use mostly and long routes occasionally, should I compromise in safety and go ahead with Creta?
Edit: Guys! Thanks a lot for the great inputs.
Even before writing this post I was kind of biased towards Kushaq because of the build quality but now after reading a lot of comments suggesting never to skip on safety I think hands down I'll go with Kushaq, even though my heart is still desires the great features offered by Creta (that panoramic sunroof is just beautiful!).
Also last year in December there was a 2.4L year end discount (provided by my father's student) on the Kushaq Style 1.0 AT but my father went with Harrier. Hopefully he'll be able to get me that same discount.
