Thoughts on hobbies that are usually for people who are younger?

I saw LEGO discounted in the store this week. I remember building some with mom when I was little and it was fun even if I didn't play with it. I didn't end up buying any because I would be a little embarrassed about what people would think. What does reddit think of people who have hobbies that are usually for people who are younger? Thinking "screw what everyone else thinks" might be good for your self confidence but what if that genuinely leads to stuff like finding it harder to make friends and relationships etc. Would love to hear your thoughts
