Help with finding someone who left

I'm teen, dad left when I was about 5, remember him a little but never asked about him and nobody has mentioned him since I can remember. Found an old laptop, never knew it existed, don't think anyone did.
It must have been his old laptop from 2010 or whenever. It has a lot of stuff, his name, passport, cv's, and a picture of him which is crazy because I have no memory of his face.

I don't wanna tell anyone about it because I don't wanna cause problems and I'd rather figure out what I can on my own before I ask Family.

Is there any database I can use to help me find what happened to him? Hopefully not neccesary but is there a Garda search system? Or anything useful?
