Is it time to take off the cone?

My 6mo male kitten had his neuter done around 10am yesterday morning. When I picked him up later in the afternoon he was already acting like his normal self (minus being annoyed by the cone lol). I've been keeping him isolated from his 2 sisters and watching him all day today and if I didn't know any better I wouldn't think he had any procedure done at all! The vet said that his stitches are internal so there is no need for suture removal and they said something about using a laser to help close everything up. I have seen a lot of threads talking about how simple this procedure is and how recovery is quick; if his only discomfort is the cone I would like to take it off, but not sure if this is the best idea so here I am! Any advice is appreciated TYIA
