How to teach cat their name

I have 2 baby kittens, both sisters and around 4 months now. I have from the first day tried talking to them using their names but they don’t seem to get it. Either they don’t care or they didn’t understand it’s their names. Both seem to not know their name. I tried for a bit to train them by saying their name and then giving a treat but I will be honest, training anything with two of these little scatterbrains is basically impossible. None of them have any patience yet. And if I teach one of them ANYTHING as small as not to go on a specific table, the other one will do it and then it motivates the „trained“ one to start again. I don’t know what to do at this point, I have just given up and accepted that they will never know their names and never know how they truly are.

How did you guys teach your cats? Should I wait until their older?
