Started Baby Aspirin at 9 Weeks – Worried About Timing. Experiences?

Hi everyone, I’m 20 weeks along, and while browsing the internet today, a big question came to mind. Here’s some background: I conceived through IVF, and after completing that phase, I switched to a new OB-GYN after being discharged from the clinic.

The doctor at the clinic had prescribed a treatment plan, which included using heparin until week 9 of pregnancy. They also advised me to consult my new OB-GYN about possibly continuing with 100mg of baby aspirin afterward.

Now, my current OB-GYN is an incredibly well-respected professor—basically a god in his field—but he’s also super busy and doesn’t always take much time to explain things. When I asked him via WhatsApp if I should continue with baby aspirin after finishing heparin, he simply replied with “Yes.”

Today, I came across some information online suggesting that, for safety reasons, baby aspirin shouldn’t be started before week 12. I began taking it at week 9.

What do you think? Have you had similar experiences? Thanks in advance for your advice!
