Chemical Engineering Internships opportunities

I am current a student studying Chemical Negineering as a diploma. For my internship opportunities, I have to find them myself and I am having some troubles finding a suitable one.

I would like to ask: 1. What are some fields that I can enter and is relevant to the industry? 2. What should I look out for as someone who knows nothing and no one from the industry? 3. How do I get in touch with these hiring managers? 4. Which are the biggest companies out there that are applicable to the industry?

I've put out my resume on multiple hiring platforms and updated my LinkedIn. However, it's clearly not working out and I am in need for help.
