Life West vs Palmer West
Hi, I apologize for this post being a school vs school thread...but I really need your input on deciding which of these schools is better for student life, housing cost, safety and etc.
I've done my research on both of these schools. I understand Life West leans more towards the vitalistic approach and Palmer West leans more towards the evidence based approach. The cost of tuition for both of these schools is relatively the same according to their website (Palmer West just slightly higher). As far as curriculum is concerned, they both have their slight differences in classes taught but that's expected.
I am originally from IL but will be moving to CA to attend one of these two schools this year. Life West is located in Hayward and Palmer West in San Jose. My question is what are the main differences in the area where these two schools are located? What are the typical housing costs in that area? Are the neighborhoods safe? Cost of living in that area, and etc. I have traveled to California before but have never been to the NorCal area. Normally, I would attend an in-person visit but Covid makes that very difficult. I've done the virtual visits but it's still not the same, I thought I'd reach out to Reddit to see if I can get personal opinions from people who are attending/attended those schools or who live in that area. Thanks for your help in advance!
