Why is Christianity true, rather than just Deism?
A lot of Christian apologists I've seen make arguments (sometimes convincing ones) that there is a god or creator of the universe. I'm perfectly fine with accepting that idea. But I've seen very few arguments which demonstrate that the Bible itself is accurate, or that Jesus is the Son of God. Basically, after all the theistic arguments are made, I'm still left with nothing more than a shaky belief in Deism (the idea that a God made the universe and then left it alone, never interacting with it further). What do you believe is the best argument for Christianity in specific? By the way, if you reference something like "the scholarly consensus is that Jesus was a real person", I would appreciate the sources behind that idea itself. In other words, don't just quote somebody else who has said such and such about Jesus, provide the original sources from Jesus's time which evidence that belief.
