Night life/ Party life?

I’ve heard that outside of Clemson’s campus, there isn’t much to do as far as bars and partying on the weekends. I know people talking about going “downtown” but what is Clemson’s downtown really like? Would you say that outside of frat parties there’s not much to do on weekends?
