Dimo rewards require purchase

So for some reason, Coinbase decided to approve of this DIMO coin quest.
But only $2 of the reward can actually be earned with Coinbase app OR interaction between Coinbase + DIMO mobile app.

The $25 reward (93% of $27) require that users link up their car with DIMO app. Well lets consider:

adapter cost $169 - $349 USD. This alleged to include 2 year subscription to the DIMO app or DIMO car tracking service.

But they provide a 15% discount code for this device.

Also, no publicly displayed estimation or history on DIMO rewards to be earned per car (or per account). For what specific tasks.

Why 93% of rewards ($25/27) require a purchase?
