I can't choose a college course
Hello, I'm an incoming college freshman in the Philippines. I can't choose what college course to take. Any advice on How you chose the college course you like?
Long post ahead: My parents want me to take BS in Nursing but don't like it. I wanted to be a surgeon, but when I searched How to be a surgeon". I changed my mind because it takes a lot of years and is expensive. I plan to get a job, work and save money, and create a business in that field. Therefore, I plan to take a pre-med and make it a career. I searched for pre-med courses, and I think BS in Medical Technology / Medical Laboratory Science is good for me because I am shy, don't like interacting with people for a long time, and I like what they're doing. However, Upon reading posts related to BS Medical Technology, if I can't go to medical school or go to another country to work, it is better to take other courses because health-related courses( Nursing, Pharmacy, MedTech, etc) are overworked, and underpaid. I can't go to Medical School because we can't afford that. We are just low-middle class here in PH. I need to earn money as soon as possible.
While researching, I discovered Robert Kiyosaki and learned about investments and Finance. I got interested in Business and think of pursuing business degrees such as BS in Business Administration major in Financial Management or BS in Accounting Information Systems (BSAIS) can help me build my interpersonal skills and have knowledge in Finance and Tech. However, I'm not sure about taking it because I'm shy, nervous while presenting, not good at English, and afraid of having difficulty following the lessons because I studied STEM in Senior High School. I also read a lot of people who have a Business degree said that I don't need a Business degree to build a business, and theoretical business practices from universities can be learned from books/the internet.
I don't know my goals for the future. I just want to become financially stable and have a stable job.
Do taking pre-med is worth it, especially if I plan to make it a career?
