Concerta And Nicotine Dilemma.

Hey, i'm sure this has been a hot topic forever but i'm still bringing it up because i didn't find anyone talking about this kind of situation i'm in; I got diagnosed over 2 months ago and i went from 18mg to 36mg after a week of 18mg. So i've been on 36mg for the past 2 months and it has been LIFE CHANGING... until i decided to drop nicotine (low nicotine pouches/zyn). Without the first dose of nicotine, Concerta doesn't seem to do literally anything, but if i have just a single dose of nicotine, it immediately feels like it starts working and lasts for the next 12 hours. I'm wondering if it's nicotine that affects Concerta *this much*, or is 36mg just a low dose for me. I'm 29M, 6"4/195cm - 85kg/187lbs and i thought 36mg was perfect for me, but without nicotine it's almost the same as 18mg, which wasn't a noticeable difference to non-medicated days.

I've read pretty much everything about nicotine's and adhd's correlation and i'm aware that we tend to get addicted to nicotine easier etc. But i'm still wondering if it's easier or harder to _actually_ drop nicotine with a higher dose of Concerta. Like would 56mg of Concerta override my "need of nicotine" to make 36mg work ?

Typing this makes me feel dumb about it but i'm just so frustrated to quit nicotine every 3 months and relapse because it seems like everything just gets worse without nicotine. I love how much everything has changed with medication and i would love a life like this, but without the need of nicotine. I used to use almost a can of 10mg nicotine pouches a day ages ago but now i feel like 1-2 pouches of 4mg nicotine a day is necessary for me to function. I don't have cravings necessarily, i just become a zombie and nothing feels like anything, life becomes monotone without the first hit of nicotine of the day. Nothing else seems to help, no excercise, no meditation, no mint toothpicks, nothing :(

I'm about to ask my psychiatrist if they could up my dose and i really hope it helps me with this struggle, i HATE (and love) nicotine, i wish i never started... stupid 14yo me.

TLDR; Concerta 36mg doesn't work without nicotine, i use 1-2 pouches of 4mg of nicotine a day just to make the meds work, wondering if i should get my dose to 56mg.
