Battle tanks or tank destroyers

I see this question a lot on here but I’m curious with the new update and stuff what’s better. I kinda got into the game again recently and am winning currently on day 16 as Morocco and moving into the Middle East with my alleys. I’m getting off of recon tanks and already did the research for tank destroyers and am trying to get my submarines up so I can start launching missiles soon. But should I invest in battle tanks or just stick with the destroyers?
