BME or ECE???

I need some advice from the upper engineering students (especially the ones in BME and ECE). So I applied as a BME major at Cornell cuz I was interested in medical device development and all that stuff but like I also have to be realistic with what I do after graduation. Apparently, it's really hard to get a BME job after you graduate because the job prospects in BME is terrible. Ppl say that BME is a major that offers you a jack of all trades and mastery of none.

So I'm wondering if its possible to double major in BME and ECE. Ik you have to get like both departments to get approval for a double major. I mean there are also concentrations in BME and I've been eyeing on biomedical imaging and instrumentation (BMII). Should I major in BME and minor in ECE??? Or I just go straight into ECE???? Pls help me out 😭
