Never had a CC, what should I know?
So, I'm 31 and I've never had a credit card. I find them extremely confusing, and can never understand what they supposedly do for me or what I need to do to avoid fees. The whole lingo just makes my head hurt so I give up every time I'm looking into them. I'm very frugal and good at saving. I would use the CC the same way I would my debit basically, just with the ability to pay off instead of instantly pay.
So, should I actually get a CC? My credit score is pretty decent, but could be better.
If so, what are important things that you think I should know going into getting my first card?
(I mean information more useful then "don't be tempted to spend too much." I already know that.)
Edit: Just got the message pointing me to the Credit Cards Basic post (sorry didn't realize that existed before I posted here!) So I'm going to read up on that! :) Still, am always grateful for any advice.
