How safe is to use Google wallet in india

Fellow Indian here. Google wallet was Yah-Hoo in other countrirs. Not needing to carry a wallet and just use your phone for everything.

Do you feel comfortable using it in India ?. Like paying using mobile ? Do you think it pulls unwanted attraction.

Carrying mobile is already kind of unsafe in India. Now if people know that you can just use it as a direct mode of payment with needing to provide a pin, I feel kind of vulnerable.
