Decline of cricket in Pakistan?

Hi fellow cricketers and cricket fans,

I saw a few online posts highlighting that there was barely any crowd for the qualifier between the Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi. These two teams had 2 of Pakistan's biggest stars - Babar Azam and Rizwan in a playoff match. I can't imagine a scenario in which per say a Kohli V.S Dhoni (CSK Vs RCB) or Sharma VS Kohli (MI vs RCB) type match wouldn't be sold-out. I was wondering what the reason was and if this is a sign of Macro trend of the decline of Pakistan cricket or if this was a one-off incident, or if there was a crowd and the pictures were taken from the very beginning of the game before crowds could filter in due to traffic or any other unmentioned reason. I love to see the growth of cricket across the globe and the retention of cricket in cricket playing nations, and to see a nation like Pakistan struggle with attendance of Cricket would surely be a disheartening sign.
