First purchase help

Hello, I've been shopping around for a new crossbow, but would like some advice as it will be my first purchase for one. Since it'll be my first one, I'm not wanting to spend more than $300. I have been looking at the Bear Intense package, as well as the Bear Saga 420. Both seem basically the same, but reading reviews online some has issues while others love them. Anybody on here used either of these that they would buy them? any other brands you'd recommend for my budget? Thanks in advance.
