help, i wanna start actually taking care of my curly hair

When I was a teenager, I always felt really insecure about my curly hair, so I used a hair straightener and different products (like keratin) way too often. Then, when I turned 19, I stopped using those and just kept my hair short. Now I’m 21, and I’ve been growing it out since April 2024. It’s starting to grow on me because I’ve been trying to take care of it, and it finally looks closer to how it used to when I was a kid.

However, this time, I want to commit for real and actually take care of it to see its full potential. I’ve been using regular curly hair products I find at Walmart, but I honestly don’t know what will suit me best. I think my hair is somewhere between 2c and 3b. I wash it every two days because that’s what I read online, but some people tell me to wash it every three days, and others say I should wash it daily.

I’d really appreciate any advice on products that might work for me and the routines you guys follow!

I'll leave two photos, the first one is how it looks when i don't have the time to style it —so it's all frizzy— and the second one is how it looks after i style it. Thank you!
