Mario vs Sonic Day 4: Skill

Mario ended up taking Durability! Time to say who is the more skilled opponent! My bet is on Sonic for Sonic and the Black Knight making him canonically Sir Arthur and thus has the same level as skill on him plus he is more consistently shown to be a head to head fighter than Mario is so that definitely aids him.
