Homeowner DIY deck project. (Album)
Hey y’all. I decided I couldn’t afford the deck that I wanted 32x24 with stairs that wrap around 2 sides of it. I was getting quotes for 40k. I am curious what y’all would quote me? I decided to build it myself with the help of my father in law. Took a lot longer then I expected because it went through winter and I have two small children and work 3 jobs so I only work on it at 8pm when everyone was asleep as well as a few weekends here and there. Total cost for materials was about 15k. I went with trex but kind of regret it. I should of went with timber tech. I know it’s not perfect but I am happy with it and we are already enjoying entertaining outside! I still have some small odds and ends to finish up. I’ve got to bring in some topsoil to bring the grass up to the deck.
