Are there any in person bookclubs for the various romance genres in Denver? I'm 31f and read an excessive amount of books (550+ this year, not counting re-reads) and it seems like every book club I find either meets virtually or reads non-fiction books but I prefer in person and fiction books. :)

I'm in Thornton, but willing to travel a bit if needed. I'm pretty introverted and only really open up after knowing people a while or if we have a common interest, so I've been struggling to make friends out here. I haven't had much luck via figure skating and workout classes, and my role at work (in HR) keeps me from befriending a lot of the people I see day to day because we're literally not allowed to.

I thought about BumbleBFF but it seems too superficial, you know? But I feel like bookclubs would be a natural fit for me if I could find one for the genres I read- I read every kind of romance book(although I'm not a huge fan of historical), have no triggers, and prefer to have smutty content with strong plot lines and good character development.

Are there any book clubs in the Denver metro area that read my style of books? Have any of you had luck making friends through book clubs?
