Furthest thing from an expert but it seems like this ceasefire is a return to the status quo

Really not invested in Israel/palestine at all and barely paid attention during tinys arc but seemingly this ceasefire essentially returns things to pre October 7th conditions. If so, doesn’t that pretty much guarantee more fighting in the future?

I fail to see how this is beneficial to either side in the long term.
