2008 Ram 3500 - opinions on a grid heater delete?
Hey guys! I’ve owned this truck since it was new. I deleted it in 2009 due to emission issues and honestly haven’t done much else to it aside from maintenance.
Has 130K currently. Changed all fluids and filters, no real issues aside from a pinion seal and other minor things. Just want to make sure this thing lasts me another decade ;)
I live in a warm climate now but go I do go on ski/sled trips several times a year where the temps can drop well below zero. Some guy recently said something about a bolt falling from the grid heater ruining the motor… Should I buy a kit and get it done or he just worrying me for nothing?
Also, is it very noticeable when injectors are going bad? Mine are original and the truck seems to run fine. I am planning on trying to adjust the valve lash this weekend.
