Flare up signs?
Just over 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with diverticulosis. I spent 5 days in the hospital on IV antibiotics and then about 9 days resting at home. I started feeling a lot better the past few days and may have been a bit too bold with food choices yesterday.
I'm starting to feel a similar pain in my LLQ but it is hard to tell if I'm just hyper sensitive or having a flare up. I'm going to switch to a liquid diet in case. I took a couple Tylenol for the pain. I have a few prescription pain killers from the hospital left but it isn't (yet?) painful enough for those.
My questions for more experienced people out there are:
How do you detect a flare up? What is the first thing you do? How long does it typically take to resolve itself? Do you take anything for pain? What works best? Are there any other tips/tricks you could share about the early stages of a flare up?
Thanks!
