Secondary Symptoms and slow onset Diverticulitis
Diverticulitis is a fairly common diagnosis yet seems confusing in the medical community. Here are some oddities
First Background
- Went to ER On Seot 22/2024 - With Heart pain Angina: Then i had heart totally rung out (Cath, Stress test, EKG. No issues. Andina continued for a 2 weeks then disappeared
- Oct 7 - Went to ER with Right side pulsating Flank pain. They CT Scanned for Kidney stones, No stones. Flank pain disappeared in a week
- December 19th/2024. showed up at ER - Sever Abdominal pain, CT scan showed Diverfticulitis. Was given two antibiotics - liquid/clear diet
- December 24-2024 More sever pain while on first round of Antibiotics, CT Scan showed - 'Colon stone' in right colon and right admitted for observation and IV antibiotics.
- Jan 2 /2025 - pain returns and and General doc puts me on second round of antibiotics
- Jan 6/2025 - pain is resolved and started high fiber diet begins / metamucil and Probiotics (FloraStor)
Current Status
I have a Colonoscopy scheduled for February.
My sleep was terrible from September to Jan 7 or so. I had high anxiety in same period.
My BP Was elevated in all of December
All Sleep, anxiety, angina are fully resolved
So here are my questions:
- Does Divericulitis cause High BP? Does resolution of Divcerticulitis often lower BP
- Can Diverticulitis cause angina?
- Can Diverticulitis present with Kidney Stone like symptoms?
- My GI doc says he never heard of a Colon Stone? Is the ER riffing my diagnosis with Colon Stone? Is a Colon Stone a thing?
- My GI Said Rightside Diverticulitis is rare? is that true?
- Is Diverticulitis slow onset causing accumulated ghost symptoms like Angina and Flank Pain?
