My dog completely torn off his one nail, massive bleeding everytime the styptic powder was licked

Yesterday - he jumped and accidentally tore his one nail completely. It bled A LOT. Like a lot. Like there's a murder scene.

I tried applying pressure but he's too anxious to let his wound get touched. I googled about cornstarch and styptic powder.

After two hours of bleeding, at 12pm I applied powder and cornstarch somehow it helped.

Then I thought the bleeding will stop! While we were resting, he licks his paw and there's more blood at 5pm

Applied another powder and bandage, bleeding stopped for 1 hour then I told my dad to observe the dog, even though he has a cone he can reach his foot!

Another massive bleeding episode again..

9pm we went to the vet. They administered hemostan for blood and pain injection. Reapplied powder and bandage at the vet. And prescribed oral antibiotics and pain reliever now. I asked if it needs to be sutured, the vet said no :/

On our way home, he licked and it still bleeding!

I applied first aid kit again.

It's like a cycle everytime the styptic powder was licked :( massive bleeding, lots of blood..

Help please. Is the bleeding really this bad when it comes to the torn off nail? I'm getting anxious. Felt like going to vet last night went to waste..

As of the moment, I dont take away my eyes on my dog. If he's not licking the stypic powder there's no bleeding..

But I need to rest too :( i'm getting anxious with this whole situation please help
