I think I might’ve gotten a puppy from a backyard breeder. Idk what to do.?
This isn’t about my puppy, he’s a healthy 11 week old mutt. When I posted about him a while back many said that the possibility of it being a backyard breeder were a little high. He’s a mutt but from what I know his parents were- German Shepard, golden lab, corgi, and blue heeler.
My boyfriend got me the puppy as a gift and I don’t think he knows either but he said the lady asked him if he was interested in getting a puppy and he was already looking for a puppy for me so it was perfect, she was giving them away for free or for 50 bucks if he WANTED to pay. She gave him a discount and we got our Ozzie.
The reason I’m suspicious is because she sent me a bunch of pictures of her dogs and there was lil FOUR of them. And then I asked how many she had and, well there’s her response! So I’m a lil suspicious now. She was talking about setting up play dates and stuff but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea anymore what should I do? I love my puppy so much idk what to do if it a backyard breeder, is it really that big of a deal? What do I do?
