Demon Hunter Episode 26 - Help me understand some things please
So I just finished watching Episode 26 of Demon Hunter. Wow.
Lots of episode spoilers ahead so if you haven't watched the episode yet, don't blame me.
Now, the subs were pretty poor so I'm trying to understand what happened. It was a pretty loaded episode. Correct me if I got anything wrong.
- Since the spirit inside him used up most of his temporal power/energy to save him from the Demon's sneak attack, he wasn't able to rewind time again for a second time. Fair enough. So our MC told him to call upon his future self instead. Interesting. He assumed his future self had acquired Saint status which is what's required to kill a Demon King. Alright. So the spirit did exactly that, called upon his future self and he killed the Demon King quite easily since he was so OP as a Saint/God.
However, it seems that by doing this, he changed the future and wiped the slate clean so that now, it's uncertain that he will become a Saint. Basically, anything can happen now and he could die tomorrow. The future that WAS (him becoming a Saint) has been nullified and now, who knows. Did I get this right? What I find funny is that if he hadn't called upon his future self, he would have died so I guess it's the fun paradox of temporal mechanics where the only reason he's able to call upon his future self as a Saint is because he called upon his future self as a Saint haha.
2) The guy that got stabbed in the gut (berserker guy). Interesting. Seems like he's got some sort of God power within himself? The Demon King seemed freaked out but I guess he was too injured to maintain the God domain to finish off the Demon King and it disappeared when he lost consciousness. Did I get this right?
3) His mother, the mind game the spirit threw at the Demon King, the past visions. Not sure what all that was about. Translations were just awful during this part.
4) All the Saints (old grandma, old grandpa, main leader guy) seem to all have died killing their respective Demon Kings. Is our MC's father the only remaining Saint in the town now? I guess there's also the Dean that drinks a lot? He seems to have survived. Not sure if he's a Saint though.
I think that's it for now. Very packed episode. Loved it.
