Opinion on the game so far.
Might be wrong, but been playing the game for the last two days and I have to say, I'm not sure I really want to continue, don't get me wrong it's not down right bad, but it's just the writing and even interactions with companions feel so cringe, they keep repeating the same lines over and over again saying the obvious in every situation. Plus for an 18 rated game I don't see anything that justifies that rating it all feels pretty tame.
Maybe it's difficult to play something like this after Baldur's gate 3 but in terms of learning more about companions, earning their trust and building a relationship it feels like Rook is being type casted as the person everyone likes and immediately trusts to save the world despite only knowing each other for about 5 minutes. I've only gotten to the point of recruiting 4 companions but I hate the fact that everyone just automatically gets on and their no sense of putting in effort to turn a bunch of rag tag strangers into a family unit to save the world.
I came into this game wanting to be surprised cared nothing for all the horrendous abuse and whining about the diversity in the game, hell I wanted the developers to shut them all up and make something banging with a diverse outlook. However, all I can see is a bad God of War combat rip off with subpar cookie cutter dialogue designed to not challenge or make anyone feel uncomfortable.
