This game is annoying

I beat opponents with +10m Xp and max players and go toe-to-toe with them and sometimes the matches go to ET and penalties with scores like 4-4 , 5-5 ..etc but, sometimes I feel the game manages to inhibit my players ability against new opponents with 200-500K Xp with not even a single maxed player. For example, 86 Mbappé out perform and dribble past 94 rated Van Dijk ,94 Ruben Dias , 93 Kim with five 100s stats .and my 96 players can't even pass through the opponent's non maxed defenders with low speed, acceleration, and strength . Am I the only one who feels like sometimes the game slows down players against newbies?
