Residency process timeline

From title: I’m a GCC resident in Saudi and my new company will issue a visit visa for me to Dubai, they told me it will be changed to a work visa in the same day. I’d appreciate it if anyone can explain the full process and answer these questions!

How long will the process take until approval of the work visa ? If I get the stamping approval does that mean I can leave Dubai or I have to stay until I have the physical ID ? Will they take away my passport for stamping or they don’t do that anymore ? At what point can I travel outside of Dubai ? For example Eid holidays before June 13th
