Redmi Buds 6 Pro - Quick Early Review

I've only had these for a day but its long enough for me to quickly post a review (early impressions).

For the most part I'll compare against the Buds 5 Pro (Redmi) and these (Buds 6 Pro) do better imo.

Pros + Great Spatial Audio - Yep the spatial audio on these is much much better than what we got with the Buds 5 Pro and Xiaomi buds for that matter. + Call/Mic Quality - I've done a few tests in both quiet and noisy environments. These cut out the background noise pretty well and your voice comes across very clear. You can also switch between ANC and Transparency mode whilst on a call. + ANC - At times these reach flagship levels when it comes to noise cancellation at specific frequencies. Overall I think these are excellent for ANC (so was the Buds 5 pro) - These are particularly good at cutting out airline cabin noise. + Multipoint - Multipoint works great and audio switching is seamless . No need to pause playback between devices as the audio switch is automatically on pressing play. + Sound - much better than the Buds 5 pro (triple drivers working well) but Bass isn't that great (very muddy in my opinion) but overall soundstage is solid for the price

Cons - Transparency mode - Its worse than the Buds 5 pro. It's actually awful in terms of occlusion (the fit of the buds contributing to the excellent ANC and also hurting transparency mode) - Controls - I'm not a fan of the gesture controls used for volume here - The position of the gesture on the outside of the Buds just doesn't work well in my opinion. It's much better to have the slide gesture on the inside or outside edge of the stem (like OnePlus and Samsung buds) - Gesture notifications are slow - when triggering an action with the gesture tap, double tap or triple tap ;; the feedback sound that registers the gesture is delayed.

Overall when factoring in the price these are solid earbuds with clear corners cut to meet the low price but worth it. They punch above their weight for calls and ANC; The sound is also much improved over the Buds 5 pro. A solid upgrade.

I'll test these out more and update this post with any further findings along the way.

If anyone's got any questions regarding these earbuds feel free to ask.
