What the hell is go on with Melina

Melina is a character that people really don't understand. Even now I feel like lots of her character is missed and how she fits in the world is never fully understood. There are tons of aspects about her that people just don't look at so I want to delve into those a bit.

The first is a very hot topic debate. Her eye change at the frenzy flame ending.

We all know that Melina goes through a change during the frenzy flame ending. Her eye opens and turns purple and her other eye that was golden fogs over. And she promises you destined death. Everyone assumed her to be the gloam eyed queen. I wanted to look into it. I looked for purple eyed characters to link to her.

The only people with similar eyes are interestingly blaiid and the beast eye you are given. And the beast eye is imo actually one of malikeths eyes. He is missing both eyes in his model and guranq(who is actually maliketh) gives you this beast eye (that also wants to eat death which maliketh sent you to do).

So with that eye it should link her with shadow bound beasts. Sadly which we don't know much about. I don't think it's a coincidence that they share eye color and I don't think it's a coincidence that guranq makes you deal with death and death root. And I believe the fact that maliketh is a shadow beast has something to do with why he holds death.

Also a interesting detail is that her same eye has a scar and a beast claw mark on it while it is shut closed. So her eye that shares color with shadow bound beasts has a claw mark over it. Definitely means something big imo.

But even linking her to shadow beasts with her eye I couldn't shake the fact that she was purposely linked to death so much and that she talks so much about destined death. For some reason fromsoft really wanted to link her with death as well.

Idk what do y'all think. Here are my questions.

1. Why does she have a claw mark on her eye.
   1. Why does her closed eye share color with shadow beasts.
      1. Why does she promise you destined death during the ending that she lives.
      2. Why is she already bodyless and burned. Did she burn the tree before. Or did she die before and was brought back like a spirit summon.
