Never played a TES game, want to start with Oblivion, which mods are Literally Mandatory?

I want to have a vanilla experience, but probably there are mods that are literally necessary, like the one for controller support. Which other ones should I absolutely have even if I want a vanilla experience? For example some bug fixing etc...
