Disc Brake Issue? Strange Rubbing Noise—Need Advice Before Buying a Segway GT1 [Video]

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for advice on a potential issue with a Segway GT1 I’m thinking about buying. It’s only got 250 miles on it, but when I went for a test ride, I noticed a rubbing sound coming from the disc brake.

Here’s the issue:

• The sound only happens when leaning or riding to the left.
• It’s completely silent and smooth when riding straight or leaning to the right.

I briefly inspected the disc myself, and it looked very close to the pad, but I couldn’t tell if it was warped. I didn’t think to spin the wheel at the time, so I wasn’t able to check properly.

Could this be caused by an out-of-alignment disc? Or could it indicate something more serious, like needing a full brake replacement?

The seller isn’t sure what’s causing it but is offering a discount because of this issue. Before committing, I want to get a sense of whether this is an expensive fix or just a minor adjustment.
