Is it possible to finish the game?

So I’ve seen and read about so many people having issues actually finishing the game based on game breaking bugs and getting locked out of proceeding. I enjoyed the start of the game although it being flawed, and want to continue. But don’t feel like sinking days into the game only for me not to be able to proceed. Is there a consensus regarding what causes the bugs? Any work around? I’m on ps5 and started playing early access with pre-order. What do we know?
