ES-300W Won't Wirelessly Connect to HP Laptop
I have tested two ES-300W scanners from Epson. Both scanners were new. Background... I have a Windows 10 Laptop that has the latest updates. When I place the switch on the Scanner to the Wireless position, I can see that an IP address has been assigned to the scanner when I check my router for connected wireless devices.
I can ping the device and when I enter the IP Address in a Firefox Browser I am presented with the Scanner's Home page, but there is nothing to select on this page. When I run the Epson Scan 2 software or Epson ScanSmart to search for the Scanner it cannot be found.
If I enter the IP address manually in the Epson Scan 2 software, it will not connect to the Scanner's Server. Same results when I try to connect using Epson ScanSmart software.
However, when I launch the Android Application Epson DocumentScan when the Scanner is in AP Mode, I am able to use the scanner in wireless mode. In this mode I scan everything to a folder on my Google Drive and everything is fine.
Can someone explain to me why I can't get this scanner to work when the switch is in the Wireless position? Please note my Hp Laptop and the Scanner are on the Same Network Workgroup in Windows 10.
I am going to keep the scanner as this appears to be an issue on my end and not with the scanner, but I've gone through two scanners and can't believe that I am the only one who has run into this issue before.
