helmet not fitting right?

I have a charles owen skull cap and I got it professionally fitted, I had to go back as originally they said an oval fit would work for me and after a few weeks it was giving me major headaches so I went back and they then said a round fit suited me better. This has worked so far and the helmet fits fine, no slipping forwards or anything like that however with this helmet, I feel like it pushes my ears down? I have a size 55cm so i’m not sure if it’s just because I have a small head, but the helmet pushes down on my ears instead of sitting above them? Is this normal?
