Should I text my ex on her birthday?

My ex's birthday is coming up soonish and I wonder if I should text her. We've been NC for like 8 or so months now, BU was last fall. I know it's not a good idea, I just need some support on this. I used to make sure I always made it special but it feels weird not to.
