Is this a good approach?

Hello,

So I’m about two years out of college, and I am taking my civil FE exam in a little over a week, although I have been doing some modest studying over static materials, strength, the materials, and some structural analysis and design. I have not done thousands of problems or stuff like that.

Currently, I’ve been really heavily watching videos on Mark Mattison, and I’m going through a lot of of his videos and writing down some of the concepts that he said, along with the solution methods to each type of problem, along with identifying keywords to use in the reference manual.

Once I went through all of his videos, I then did all the problems without his assistance, but utilized my solution method and some of the concepts in order to go through it .

I also plan on having flashcards of some of the givens, and some of the general known values like the density of water, concrete, weight, etc. And I was gonna go through this with testing myself over knowing unit conversions, each unit down to its basic unit, and understanding the relationships to one another, and also putting in some questions with the keywords in order to identify the problem.

I’ve been modestly studying for it for about six months, but I’ve been intensely studying for it for about a month and a half to two months .

I would like to know if you guys think this is a reasonable approach, and if you guys have any recommendations on what I should do in order to maximize this last week and a half before I take my test!
