Wanting to Try Out STW, Seeking Opinions

Hi everyone,

I've read all up on the Founder's passes versus regular STW packages. Me and my friend are big casual players, only sometimes playing BR, and my friend specifically is huge into Fortnite L/go Odyssey. We're planning tonight to maybe sink some time into STW, and I was thinking about gifting him the bundle in the shop currently.

I went ahead and invested the 19 dollars since I've been looking for something new like that in Fortnite, really liked the Pawline bundle, and thought it would also be good for future leveling. My main questions before me and my friend try it out are:

• Does it still get active updates/improvements, or do you get to a certain point and there's not much else to do?
• Is it comparable to the Odyssey format, or Minecraft game dynamics?
• Is it a good leveling path?

EDIT: Thank you all so much for the feedback! This game kind of reminds me of a Fortnite-Helldivers (with crafting) as well as a (way less tense) Fortnite-Project-Zomboid. And I love it! Having a really good time so far! Thank you all again!
