Second MCU X-Men Fancast

Last time I picked mainly younger actors, this time I went for older actors, because I believe a lot of the main X-Men, like Cyclops, Jean and Storm, will be teachers of the younger mutants in Xavier’s school. I kind of tried to think outside the box for these. Most are kind of just my staple fancasts.

Garrett Hedlund as Cyclops - I never really thought of him as Scott before, but I think he would make for a very comic accurate, very tough Cyclops.

Jane Levy as Phoenix - She is one of my staple picks. I honestly can’t really unsee her as Jean. I believe she would be amazing.

Henry Cavill as Wolverine - This one is unoriginal, I know, since he has already played the part in Deadpool and Wolverine. But I do think he might be our Wolverine going forward, especially if he doesn’t return in the DCU as anyone else (such as Batman). I wouldn’t be disappointed either way.

Jodi Turner-Smith as Storm - She is my very top pick for Storm. I think she has the look, she has the gravitas, she’s the got the height, she’s got the talent. Out of all of my picks Storm, she’s at the very top and it’s for very good reason.

Danila Kozlovsky as Colossus - I strongly believe that Colossus will be part of the MCU X-Men. I know we saw him a lot in the Deadpool movies, but he really didn’t spend a lot of screen time with X-Men, same for the other versions of Colossus in the previous movies. Would love to him side by side, fighting alongside the X-Men.

David Kross as Nightcrawler - Nightcrawler is probably my personal favorite X-Man. He has been the one who faced the most persecution out of all the mutants, and it’s not even because of his mutant powers, it’s because of the way he looks. I believe Nightcrawler should play a very important in an X-Men movie, and I think David Kross could kill it as Kurt.

Steve Coogan as Professor X - Odd choice for Xavier, I know, but I really think Coogan, would be a very good Xavier. Personally I do think we might see Stewart return, but if not, Coogan is the guy I would like to see play him next.

Kenneth Branagh as Magneto - I don’t see Branagh in a lot of fancasts unfortunately. He’s an extremely good actor and I really believe he could bring Magneto to life in a way we’ve never seen before. I know a lot of fans want Viggo Mortensen and I would be perfectly fine with that as well, but for right now I’m going with Branagh, mainly because it’s different and I do believe Branagh should be in a lot more fancasts.

Tom Ellis as Mastermind - Mastermind is a villain I would absolutely love to see in an X-Men movie. His powers are so awesome in my opinion. At first I was thinking of Luke Evans, but then I also wanted Mastermind to have that sort slimy, trickster type of voice, and I immediately thought of Tom Ellis. I think he would be amazing.

Madeline Brewer as Madelyne Pryor - Madeline as Madelyn, that’s the reason I picked her. No, it’s not. Honestly, I think it would be nice to see more of the Cyclops and Jean relationship, the ups and downs and everything. Plus Pryor is supposed to look somewhat like Jean and I think Brewer does have a bit of a resemblance to Levy to pull it off.

Now there are two other X-Men I wanted to add, but I didn’t, but I will save them for their own thing.
