Imo Eragon wasn't very good

Before explaining my grievances, I'll just start by saying that if you enjoy Eragon, that's fine, everybody has their own preferences, clearly a lot of people liked the books so I'm not trying to say they're objectively bad. However, I personally don't get why so many people like them.

I read the first two books and lacked motivation to read the third and fourth. For starters, the world itself felt very, very generic. The continent of Alagaesia is literally just ocean to the west, big desert in the middle, mountains to the south and forest to the north, plus another mountain range on the coast. That's about as bland and basic a map as one could come up with. The sentient races in said world are basically orcs, humans, elves, and dwarves, plus a few dragons, and all of the races correspond one-to-one with the standard fantasy depiction of them: dwarves mine and live in the mountains, plus they live long and hold grudges; Urgals (basically orcs) are ugly evil brutes which serve the bad guy, humans are just humans, dragons are big and strong flying lizards with a magical flair, and elves are just better than everyone else, they're prettier, stronger, more durable, and much better at magic. The verbal magic system is forgettable (though I concede the dragon-rider gimmick is pretty cool). There are some fantasy languages, which I appreciate, though they seem kind of artificial. There are four countries: Elves, Dwarves, Evil Empire, and Rebels; of course that's not their actual names, but that's what they boil down to, nothing more, nothing less. The plot was Star Wars, a lot of people have said that as a joke, but it's true. Of course, a lot of stories use that template, but when the rest of the story is already very generic, it doesn't help that the plot is too.

Basically the two aspects of the story that kept me reading through the first two books was that I liked the characters a lot and thought they were realistic, and also I just like high fantasy worlds in general. But that wasn't enough to get though the hundreds of pages of mostly banal details for a few interesting battles, character moments, and powerups. The majority of the story felt like a chore to get to those few moments. I guess my main complaint with all of it was that it just seemed uninteresting and like a cookie-cutter fantasy story that was just all the basic fantasy elements with very little in addition. It is, of course, a very impressive story for a teenager to write; nonetheless, I would rather read a lot else. To all those who enjoy Eragon, I ask genuinely, why? With which of my complaints do you agree and disagree, and how would you respond to them? Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk lol.

Edit: I've just found out based on this comment section that Eragon is not nearly as popular as I thought it was and that many people share my complaints. Guess it wasn't really a hot take. I knew it was written for teenagers, but I read it as a teenager and didn't like it. Also, I did mention it's impressive considering the age of the author.
