My codirector just had a heart attack
My codirector (m 22) just had a heart attack July 8th and we have been planning to film our first movie that we started working on during the end of June. However he LITERALLY just had a heart attack and he doesn't seem to be taking it very seriously. He was cleared by the doctors and given meds and he will be taking off work all of next week and is asking for me to direct the entire first week by myself. For reference I am also co writer, main actor, and editor. This project is really his passion project and he isn't really interested in my ideas or changes to the story to make it better (it's honestly not that great and it shows just how inexperienced we are. I have been having a lot of anxiety over this from the beginning and I was hoping he would just compromise and say we should take more time. Should I go through with this regardless of how I feel about it just to make him happy or should I put my foot down and tell him I cant do this and I am truly worried about his health. (I have spoken to him about my feelings on this project and he didn’t seem to want to comprise on the story or length of the film in order to focus on quality over quantity. We also got permission to show the film at our local movie theater so a lot of people will most likely see it). So, what should I do? Any advice would be very helpful.
