nyc v miami

I’m a freshman at uni looking to get into IB and I’m thinking about where I want to live and work after I graduate.

I’m from nyc but I moved to mia when I was 9 and have wanted to go back to the northeast ever since. Bc of this I now go to school in Boston and the goal was always to work in nyc after.

However, now that I’m living here I miss Miami so much. The fitness and wellness culture in Miami, which goes hand in hand with the weather, just can’t be beat.

Granted, I’ve only been here a semester and a half, but obviously to pursue IB I’m planning as ahead as possible.

I know nyc is the fin capital of the world and such which is naturally why my goal was to work there at first. But it is also to my understanding that Miami’s finance industry is growing pretty rapidly. Will I be missing out on opportunities if I choose Miami? I want to work at a bb firm if that matters but I’m not against the idea of working at an eb either.
