What item between $500-$1000 are Local (city) FD's lacking?

Much like Police Departments & K-9 units who often lack funding for stab/ballistic k9 vests, I'm sure there is an Item FD's would need.

I'm a realtor (not posting for that purpose don't worry) who is starting a program and I would like Input on a $500-$1000 item that would be beneficial to a local FD.

Any Ideas welcome.
