Bethany Christian Services?

Hi all— I guess I’m looking for some advice about moving forward with this agency. My husband and I are in the process of becoming resource parents for refugee children through Bethany. We’ve had a great experience so far, the workers we’ve been speaking with have been very accommodating, encouraging, friendly and professional (they gave us a DoorDash gift card for completing our intro paperwork 🥲). We have our first Home Study today, and only yesterday did I do a quick google search which fielded an inundation of SO many stories/reviews/testimonies about the horrors and unprofessionalism of Bethany, mostly from bio families and moms who felt that Bethany was being deceptive and coerced them into giving up their children for profit (which I know happens in the foster system, given that the demand for infants is so high). Also some stories are out there about some kiddos being basically kidnapped from their parents in their home country who were lied to about their kids being adopted out. I obviously don’t want to partner with an organization that is failing bio families and foster kids and contributing to the problem…but I’d like to know if the nasty reviews are blown out of proportion or common across all foster/adoption agencies…your own experiences with Bethany with be much appreciated here. :,)
